Q: How did you come up with the name "The Bexar
Bones?"
A: San Antonio is located in Bexar County, TX. Since the common
local pronunciation for Bexar is bare (or bear), The Bexar
(bare) Bones was a logical choice as a
name for the group.
Q: What kind of music do you play?
A: The Bexar Bones play popular music, jazz, classical - just about
anything that sounds good on a trombone (which is just about
everything).
Q: Are you always a quintet?
A: Most of the time, but not always. Sometimes we'll add more
trombones and/or a rhythm section to the group when the music calls for
it.
Q: Will you come play at my school?
A: Absolutely! Each member of The Bexar Bones is an educator and
we love to give master classes and educational demonstrations.
